FOCUS ON ENHANCING YOUR HUMAN POTENTIAL

 As  a Certified Transformational Coach I have observed and interacted with so many youths who tend to limit their potential due to self comparison. They focus on what others have achieved instead of learning from the process of success. In coaching we are trained that each person has an infinite potential and due to lack of awareness they are unable to draw it out. I have focused on going to schools to speak to students especially candidate classes and what I focus on working on is the mindset. I strongly believe that our biggest enemy to progress is the mindset because of the so many limiting beliefs that bombard us .

Africa has a lot of potential and it is evident after all the researches that have been conducted. What is lacking is a focus on enhancing the power of human potential. When one reads Think And Grow Rich: A Black Choice by Dr. Dennis Kimbro , he or she is motivated to understand that there is no limit to what a person can achieve. Oprah Winfrey was born in a poor family but because of the big vision that she had she became one of the most influential black American women in the world. Dr. Ben Carson was always the last performing student in class but ended up as a neurosurgeon. 

The above examples should inspire us to work hard and nurture our God given potential. On the news I saw a group of youths who wanted to beat up staff of a sports betting company in Busia District for failing to pay for their "Return on Investment". Still a youth was killed by a mob for murdering a prominent businessman in town. More still a suspected witch doctor was arrested for murdering two innocent children. So the ignorance of potential leads to its abuse.


HOW TO ENHANCE HUMAN POTENTIAL

1.It begins with God. He is the source of our purpose

2.Have a clear vision for life.

3.Hire a coach or mentor.

4.Embrace goal setting

5.Associate with successful people

6.Learn from mistakes

7. Act on your goals

8.Embrace continuous learning

9. Join a master mind

10.Have a curious mindset.


Each person on earth has potential. Unfortunately in most cases lack of awareness stops us from developing it. Be assured that there is a person in less favorable circumstances who is doing incredible things. If he or she can you too can.

A SAVINGS PLAN CAN AID IN FINANCIAL ADVANCEMENT

 I remember during the Trainer of Trainers training conducted by Bank of Uganda we were encouraged to develop a savings plan. This was a key development because without a plan we may live in financial darkness. CELEBRATE YOUR VALUE ON THIS LABOR DAY

As we celebrate International Labor Day,70% of Uganda's population is below the age of 30 years. One of the biggest challenges of youths is access to dignified employment opportunities. So many youths have lost in their ability to find work and we have seen cases where they commit crime in order to survive. A case in point is a clip I saw on social media where a man who had panga cut innocent children after asking for a ransom from the parents . Such tragic incidents show us that lack of access to dignified employment opportunities makes people lose their sense of value. The starting point in raising hope among the youths is to inform them that with or without a formal job they have value.
