PAYING ATTENTION TO DETAILS AND FINANCIAL ADVANCEMENT.

 Why do little things matter in the journey of financial advancement? It is because little waters sink a ship. A certain youth lost his property after getting a loan from a loan shark. He did not take time to read the terms and conditions and it cost him his property. We are living in a fast world where loans are provided in seconds and that is what society wants. Little preparation is made and at the end of the day people get "bad loans".

In financial literacy training we aim at teaching society the fundamentals f responsible money management. We know that money management is an emotional and personal issue. No one wants to be taught how to use their money. This is especially true for adults The more we evade learning about money the more we risk our future. There are so many scams waiting to con people of their hard earned money. They promise high returns to unsuspecting public. Indeed two years back there is a company that duped the public of billions of shillings after promising them abnormal returns. It was a tragic experience to many. There is another online investment club that took away a lot of money from unsuspecting women.

We live in a fast changing world and this means we need to pay attention to details. The failure to make due diligence when making financial decisions exposes us to irreversible risks. Luckily there is plenty of advice that we can attain from different service providers. For example insurance companies provide various packages to the public but it requires a customer with the desire to secure their lives that will seek that advice. Banks provide free advice on the various wealth management services but it will take an eager and interested customer to seek the services.

THRIVING AMIDST UNEMPLOYMENT

 Ask any graduate what their worst night mare is and they will inform you that lack of access to a dignified employment opportunity is a big hurdle. Over 70% of Ugandans are below the age of 30 years of age. There are very many reasons why the unemployment rate needs to be addressed. Uganda has over 30 universities and all universities graduate over 300,000 graduates per year yet the formal sector produces on average 70,000 jobs. This mismatch is an indicator of the frustrations that the young people face. WE CELEBRATE GRADUATION BUT AFTER THAT WHAT NEXT ?

 Uganda is officially dominated by young people. Over 50 %of the population are youths. With a high population the job market also shrinks yet people need to survive. It is the means of survival that create social pressure. The unemployment dilemma in the country can be dissected from different angles and each person or all stakeholders have a critical role to play.  Universities and other institutions of higher learning produce over 300,000 graduates per year.
