THE POWER OF CHOICE IN WEALTH CREATION

 It is the desire of every individual person on earth to become wealthy. Who would not want to be talked about as one of the richest people in the world? It is a silent desire of many people. However there are different routes to that dream of wealth. The other day in the news I saw a story of suspected witch doctor who murdered two innocent youths in Kiboga District. There is a youth who was killed by a mob for murdering a prominent business person in the country. Still there is a man who used a panga to cut innocent children because he wanted a ransom from the parents. Now these are wrong choices to wealth creation. One does not have to end a life to become wealthy. 

Perhaps a wrong definition of wealth can be disastrous. When wealth is restricted to attaining material wealth it becomes so competitive and the effects can be manifested in form of crime in a bid to become wealthy. Wealth seems to be beyond having large sums of money but one can also have intellectual wealth. Why are medical doctors so vital in society? It is because they paid the price to become medical doctors and their services are sought by the rest of society. This means the chances of a medical doctor becoming wealthy are high.


So we live in a society where some youths want to become "wealthy" but without paying the price. We need to encourage the youths especially those who have dared to start businesses to become agents of positive transformation and not to only look at physical cash as a hinderance to their journey to wealth creation. There are very many institutions that are willing to support innovative youths in their quest for wealth creation while adding value to humanity. The youths should be on the look out for such organizations.

6.Life long learning

7.Financial discipline


The power to become wealthy lies in our hands(choice). A  wrong definition of wealth is disastrous as pointed out above.

CELEBRATE YOUR VALUE ON THIS LABOR DAY

As we celebrate International Labor Day,70% of Uganda's population is below the age of 30 years. One of the biggest challenges of youths is access to dignified employment opportunities. So many youths have lost in their ability to find work and we have seen cases where they commit crime in order to survive.
